The portfolio has a wide range from managed services, administrative services, support functions towards workforce training and also outsourcing and near-shoring solutions. To grow one of their German based BU’s the company is seeking a senior executive to lead this enterprise and ensure the growth and development of this operations with full P&L responsibility. This is an excellent opportunity for an executive to grow and develop his / her career and demonstrate his / her abilities leading a significant entity of the company. This position has exposure to the executive leadership team in Europe.   

To strengthen their internal team and capabilities, our client has an open position within our German operation – and looking for a senior leader to lead, run and develop the organization.

The Managing Director is a proven sales professional and proven record and demonstrated to be a senior leader whose energy, focus and determination are matched by well-developed selling skills and people management expertise.

  • She / He will manage his business unit (nationwide) to meet goals in unit revenue and gross profit.

  • The Managing Director will be focusing on both, building a team across the country and growing the business, while maintaining high standard of internal processes and compliance.

  • The Managing Director will show a hands-on attitude to keep things running and knows the staffing, services and solutions market in dedicated professions.

  • She / He has the full P&L and Brand responsibility.

  • This includes the adaption of the global strategy for the German market and driving the execution in the country.

  • The Managing Director is being part of an international corporate network and ensures close international and local collaboration.

Role description

  • Full P&L responsibility for a dedicated unit with around 200 employees

  • Responsible for business development, profitable growth, sales and delivery

  • Create market value through seizing opportunities through market insights and generate innovative workforce solutions for the dedicated business unit

  • Accountability for the “go to market” strategy and driving execution

  • Accelerate performance by enabling profitability and growth

  • Drive operational excellence by using dedicated tools

  • Analysis of potentials in the operative business, development of profitable opportunities and definition of appropriate measures in cooperation with the sales department

  • Analysis and continuous development of the current business processes, also from a digitization point of view

  • Develop new business opportunities for existing and new clients and candidates

  • Recognize market trends and develop and implement appropriate measures in the “world of work”


  •  At least 10 years of Sales experience in the professional services and solutions industry

  • Strong people management skills with the ability to work and operate in matrixed organizations combined with a proven track record in coaching and managing high performance and management teams through transformations


The person will report to the leadership and executive team of the German Corporation and to the COO. Exposure to the European leadership team is to be expected in this role.


Business development: The ideal candidate has a solid understanding and track record of developing and creating new business opportunities by communicating to the highest level within a corporation. Presenting and acquiring business in a top down mentality by going to the decision making level. Proven ability to present at C.E.O. / Decision Making level. Ability to drive a solution driven approach.

Result orientation: The candidate builds a result driven team and is able to deliver a trustworthy funnel and committed project and revenue forecast.

Strategic orientation:
The candidate can detach from immediate business relations and sketch compelling business priorities for the month and the quarter. He / She is able to priorities the best changes and projects that does have to most likelihood for closure to ensure the achievement and over performance of set goals and expectations.

The ideal candidate is committed to understand the needs of the customer and clients and is able to understand the driving and underlying cause of the project.
